On the 25th of May 2018 the European Union has a new privacy which states I have to inform you about what I do with your personal details that I collect via this website and blog. Collecting is a big word here because until now I have not done much more with the name and e-mail address you gave me than to reply to your message or confirm your message under my blogpost is not spam. To measure up to the rules of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) or in Dutch the AVG you can read everything you need to know about this site below.
I, Janet Bouwmeester, the owner of the website www.ziekelijkgelukkig.nl / www.janetbouwmeester.nl (the both link to the same website) am responsible for processing personal data on this blog. You can reach me via e-mail at email@example.com.
I process your personal data because you provide me with data by replying to one of my blogposts, by sending me an e-mail or maybe because you have bought my book via this site in the past.

I do not sell any personal data you share with me. I only share personal data when I am required to by law (for example the Belastingdienst) or when we have an agreement and in order for me to hold this agreement I have to ask someone to help me (e.g. if I am ill I ask a friend to post a book).
Why do I process your personal data?

Special and/or sensitive personal data
Ziekelijkgelukkig.nl / Janetbouwmeester.nl does not aim to collect data from minors who visit this website unless they have permission from their parent(s) or legal guardian(s). I am not able to check if a visitor is above 16 years of age. I advise parents to always be involved in the online activities of their underage children, in order to prevent data about their children being collected without parental consent. If you think that I have collected personal information about a minor without permission, contact me via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will remove this data immediately.
Storage period for personal data
Your personal data will be retained for as long as the website ziekelijkgelukkig.nl/janetbouwmeester.nl is active. It is possible that your comment on a blog post will be deleted sooner if I decide to take the blog post offline because it no longer meets the quality requirements for my website.
You also have the right to ask me to delete your personal data at any moment. In that case I will remove the data within 4 weeks.
To maintain my website I use the following systems and services:
Wordpress is the system I use to easily update my website. The CMS saves your e-mail address when you respond to 1 of my blog posts. Entering an e-mail address is mandatory so that the system can check whether you are a real person and do not leave a spam response under my post. Furthermore, when responding, the site asks for your name and your website domain. You can leave the website question box blank (and not everyone has a website of course) and if you don’t want to respond with your real name you are allowed to use an alias. That is of course no problem.
